Austria Approves New Online Gambling Law

Online Casino Report has been told that after many years of debating about online casino gambling, Austria passed a new online gambling law last week. The new law has been come under for much criticism because it seems that it is quite restrictive. Austria’s national gaming trade association, Automatenverband, has said that it will affect independent casino operators badly.

Various parties in the Austrian parliament, notably the left wing parties, voted against the law because there wasn’t enough protection for players and the law fails in to regulate online gambling. Licenses are now harder to get with strict regulations. In our opinion this is a good thing because only legit companies can now run online casinos in Austria.
